3di worked with Kilrock to design a new moisture trap absorber
A new moisture trap absorber was designed for their innovative dual-fibre crystal pouches. The brief required a portable, refillable, and aesthetically appealing solution. 3di produced concept sketches and 3D renders, leading to the selection of a final design. After creating prototypes and refining the product’s size and venting, they completed CAD drawings for tooling. 3di also project-managed the tooling process in the Far East, ensuring smooth production and final approval.
3di has partnered with OPRO for over a decade
Providing expert product design for their range of orthodontic sports mouth guards. Tackling challenges like multi-shot injection moulding and dental accuracy, 3di collaborated with OPRO’s team to design protective, high-performance gum shields. They’ve also supported the development of international packaging, from CAD data for vacuum forming to sourcing suitable suppliers. 3di continues to deliver innovative, technically achievable solutions to ensure seamless production and superior product quality.
3di developed a practical, easy-to-install, and cost-effective solution
3di partnered with The Christmas Cabin to design a tree base that keeps Christmas trees hydrated and secure throughout the festive season. Building on their traditional clamp system, 3di developed a practical, easy-to-install, and cost-effective solution tailored for the UK market. Rapid prototyping was used to test form and function, ensuring manufacturing efficiency. The resulting Swift base was successfully launched at the Garden and Outdoor Living Show and remains a popular product for The Christmas Cabin.
Peri-dent’s Preferred Design Partner
3di has partnered with Peri-dent for over five years, designing a wide range of innovative oral hygiene products. From creating over 10 product ranges to developing production-quality samples for trade shows, 3di has supported Peri-dent’s product launches with both single and twin shot injection moulded designs and retail packaging. As Peri-dent’s preferred design partner, 3di has also helped explore new functionalities and designed sustainable products, ensuring they remain at the forefront of innovation.
Producing A leading product in the UK’s fall prevention market
3di collaborated with TRAD Safety Systems to redesign their existing scaffolding safety deck panel, transitioning it from multiple extrusions to a single-shot injection moulded solution. The new panel had to withstand drop load shocks while providing flexibility and strength. 3di reviewed several design options, conducted Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and produced CAD drawings. A full-size CNC polypropylene prototype was created and tested. The project was successfully managed through to production, resulting in the TRAD DECK, now a leading product in the UK’s fall prevention market.
3di developed the innovative Tyger Paw technology
Tyger Products approached 3di to design a completely new and effective sports boot cleaning brush, as no such product existed on the market. After identifying issues with current cleaning methods, 3di developed the innovative Tyger Paw technology. From conceptual sketches to twin-shot CAD for manufacturing, 3di created a solution that cleans boots gently without damaging delicate materials. They also sourced injection moulders in China and project managed the production process, ensuring a successful product launch.
